The Web/IT Coordinator for PrideFest has the overall responsibility
of managing the Website/IT aspects of the PrideFest festival. These
activities may include such things as:
Technical development of the PrideFest Website, including use of
new technologies to advance the festival's marketing and customer
service goals
Working with the Box Office Manager, Treasurer and Producer to coordinate
online ticket sales
Developing the festival's IT infrastructure to allow for better efficiency
and growth
Developing and managing Web/IT support on the festival grounds during
festival weekend
Providing technical and design support for online advertising
The Web/IT Coordinator is responsible for developing the contacts
and connections to other professionals and volunteers that support these
types of activities. The Coordinator is also responsible for developing
the budget, determining the logistical needs (volunteers, equipment,
etc), and working with the Treasurer, Operations, PR/Marketing and Volunteer
Directors, and the Board of Directors to integrate these activities
into the festival.
Under the supervision of the Communications Director, the Web/IT Coordinator
is expected to attend regular monthly meetings with the PrideFest Production
Team and as needed with the PrideFest Producer(s), Board of Directors,
and the community at large. The time commitment is dynamic. As with
producing any festival, the commitment is light at the beginning of
the festival planning cycle and increases as the festival draws closer.
This is a new position so an estimate of the time required is not available.
It would be reasonable at this time to expect to spend several hours
per month until early spring, with an increase after that. During festival
weekend, the Web/IT Director is expected to be at the festival grounds
for as many hours of operation as is practical, and will assist other
areas during the festival as needed. |
