Courage MKE is a collaborative movement to provide housing, resources, and services needed for displaced and homeless LGBTQ+ youth in Milwaukee to thrive. In 2019, Courage MKE opened The Courage House, Wisconsin's first home for displaced LGBTQ+ youth who have suffered mental or physical abuse, have no means to support themselves, and/or need a place to temporarily call home.
In addition to The Courage House, Courage MKE distributes Courage Kits to organizations across the community. In one-gallon zip-lock bags, our kits include basic daily necessities that include: Deodorant, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Chapstick, Pair of socks, Gloves, Gum / breath mints, Trail mix / granola bars, Band-aids, Feminine hygiene products, Hand sanitizer, Hats and handwarmers. Contact us today if your organization could use kits for those you support!
